THE HISTORY

It is it’s remarkable company history and tradition what makes Ferrari an integral part of our Luxury Car Rentals fleet in Sydney

Ferrari has been the source of sports cars since 1947. Before this, Enzo Ferrari was busy forming the Scuderia Ferrari racing team. He never thought of building road cars however, exposed to the racing industry, his path was set for him.

The death of its magnetic and savvy founder caused initial concern as many companies in similar states had faced huge losses. Although tensions had risen in the company, Ferrari did not collapse like it’s peers. In January 2016, Ferrari officially split from its parent company, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Today, Ferrari still hails from Maranello in Italy and there are only 180 authorised dealers worldwide.

THE HISTORY

(Continued)

Most people don’t know that there are a horde of less shared facts about Ferrari. For instance, the Ferrari logo of the ‘prancing horse’ pays homage to the Italian flying ace of WW1. It was also the second World War that prolonged the launch of the first Ferrari and even then, only two of the first model were ever made. A lot of the brands’ identity comes from the bold, classic red colour however this was never the first choice. It was actually the colour that the International Automobile Federation assigned to all Italian Grand Prix race cars in the initial years of auto racing. With such a rich history and moving roots, it’s easy to see why the Ferrari is a cult favourite.
